And the Spirit Stick goes to... EMBER!

February is the month for love, and who better to give the Spirit Stick award to than one of the Cheerleaders we love very much? Ember D. won the Spirit Stick back in February and with her love of cheerleading and the team, she very much deserves this award. Ember has been a member of the team for two years and is one of the best flier's in the whole state of New York and we couldn't be more proud to have her on the team. She attends almost every event and is never afraid to try new stunts and is able to get them down instantly, even when she is being flung upside down or sideways.

Ember is very passionate about cheerleading and Cheer New York and says that she loves getting to tell her friends and family about Cheer New York, what we do and about the charities we sponsor. 

She even made the Spirit Stick a new bag! 

We love Ember's enthusiasm for the team and the talent she brings to the squad, which is exactly why she won the Spirit Stick award!

No Idea Bar Fundraiser

After a very busy weekend cheering at the Brooklyn Half Marathon; Dance Parade; and the Aids Walk, Cheer New York hosted their very first open bar fundraiser at No Idea Bar near Union Square. The event was a huge success, the bar was packed with tons of great people.

Cheer New York was able to sell over 30 open bar tickets and raffle off TWO name nights in June!

Cheer NY had a great time, and we hope to be back to do another event in the fall. A HUGE thank you so much to No Idea, for letting us host such a fun event. We cannot wait to see you all again soon!

SMASH for CASH karaoke- TONIGHT!

Hey Cheer New York friends, family and fans!
Join us TONIGHT for SMASH for CASH karaoke at XES bar's Sing Out Sister karaoke party!

Weather you are a dreamer, or a schemer... love musicals or cocktails... or just need some drama!!!
There will be a sing-off contest, so warm up those pipes and if you've got the spirit but not the voice, there will be fun raffles you can win! Of course, it will all be hosted by the fabulous Peppermint working your favorite tunes while NYC's premier adult cheerleading squad for gays, lesbian, and or straight allies also perform!
