A New Beginning

Cheer New York would like to welcome the new captains for the 2006-2007 season, John G. and Kelsey M.

John was brought up in New York City. He is a full-time student at Hofstra University, and works part-time on campus and at Express Men. He dances for Double G Entertainment, and teaches dance in Woodside, NY. He has been with Cheer NY since July 2003.

Kelsey is the Production Coordinator for McFadden Performing Arts, publisher of the top cheerleading and dance magazines
in the country including American Cheerleader & Dance magazine. She caught the cheerleading bug in 8th grade participating all through high school, coached a middle school team in Brooklyn when she moved to NYC, and then joined Cheer NY in November of 2004. She hopes to cheer until she’s 80, and then die peacefully mid-basket toss.
